Epson SureColor SC-F3000

The Epson SC-F3000 is best suited for garment decorators, custom T-shirt companies, promotional-product suppliers and in-house apparel operations with regular medium-to-high production volumes. It is particularly useful when quick turnaround, repeatable colour, dark-garment printing and reduced operator intervention are important.

The Epson SC-F3000 supports a maximum printable area of 406 x 508 mm, or 16 x 20 inches. Its standard platen measures 356 x 406 mm, and automatic platen-gap adjustment accommodates garments up to 29.5 mm thick, making it suitable for T-shirts, hoodies and other compatible cotton products.

The Epson SC-F3000 can print a T-shirt in approximately 34 seconds using the published four-pass HD bidirectional setting and offers resolution up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi. Production time depends on artwork size, garment colour, white-ink coverage, print mode and curing workflow.

The Epson SC-F3000 uses five Epson UltraChrome DG colours: black, cyan, magenta, yellow and white. Each colour is supplied in a high-capacity 1.5-litre ink pouch, while white ink enables vibrant designs and an underbase on dark garments.

A complete SC-F3000 direct-to-garment workflow includes suitable garment pretreatment where required and heat curing after printing. Correct pretreatment, curing temperature, pressure and time are essential for colour strength, wash durability and consistent production, especially on dark garments that use white ink.

The Epson SC-F3000 automatically detects garment height and adjusts the platen gap, while Nozzle Verification Technology monitors printhead performance and helps maintain output quality. Epson Garment Creator manages artwork and print settings, Epson Production Monitor provides status information, and the 4.3-inch touchscreen gives operators a clear view of ink levels, cleaning schedules and job settings.

The SC-F3000 is the higher-production model, with dual printheads, 1.5-litre ink pouches, a 330 kg production chassis and features designed for sustained garment volume. The SC-F2200 is more compact, uses 800 ml inks and supports both direct-to-garment and direct-to-film workflows, making it a better fit for start-ups and smaller production environments.
