A galvo laser directs its beam using fast-moving mirrors, while a gantry laser moves its processing head across the material. The Thunder CO2 Galvo suits repetitive marking and engraving within its marking field. A gantry CO2 machine is generally the more suitable choice for regular sheet cutting and larger cutting layouts.

Yes, suitable glass products can be surface engraved for names, logos and decorative designs. Results depend on the glass composition, coating, shape and engraving settings. A sample test is recommended, and cylindrical products may require a compatible rotary attachment and suitable positioning.

It can mark compatible anodised, painted or powder-coated metal surfaces by acting on the surface finish. It is not intended for cutting metal or direct deep engraving of bare metal. Its open design allows access for some objects larger than the marking field, but it does not provide an unlimited engraving area. Each setup must remain within the selected marking field, focus, clearance and support limits. The published maximum fill speed is 3,000 mm/s, and the maximum line speed is 1,000 mm/s. These are processing-speed specifications, not guaranteed finished items per hour. Actual output depends on the artwork, material, settings, part positioning and handling; a timed sample run is the best way to estimate your production capacity.

The open-frame Thunder CO2 Galvo is a Class 4 laser and requires a suitably controlled workspace, trained operators, appropriate laser-safety protection and effective fume extraction. It should not be treated like an enclosed office appliance. Confirm the required enclosure, extraction or filtration arrangements for your premises, and supervise the machine during operation.
