… Read MoreSome of our top A0 Printer models are from Epson and this is due to their reliability, high print quality, long life print head and low cost per print. The model we would recommend to you will be based on you average daily or monthly print volume as well as the types of documents you are printing.
On the lower end we have the Epson SureColor SC-T5100. This is an A0 printer or A0 Plotter best suited for Autocad applications. Print speed is 62 Sec / A0 and the max resolution is 2,400 x 1,200 dpi. It offers crisp clear CAD prints in color as well as black and white. It has 1GB Ram, a 10.9cm Touchscreen for easy operation as well as Ethernet and WiFi connectivity. This machine comes with a stand and has a built in (but hidden) mesh basket to collect all your printed documents.
Our best selling A0 Printer is the Epson SureColor SC-T5405. Print resolution is 2,400 x 1,200 dpi and the print speed is 44 sec / A0 or 22 sec / A1 which is a significant improvement on the previous model. Like all of Epson’s top models, the T5405 has 1GB RAM, Ethernet as well as WiFi connectivity, and a built in 10.9 cm Touchscreen. For some of our clients who print posters on special media, its important to mention that you can use Photo Glossy and Matte Media up to 100gsm on this model. Higher paper grammage is not recommended and might cause the machine to give paper jams. Based on experience I would say that the two main advantages of the Epson T5405 A0 Plotter are:
1- It uses large 350ml ink tanks, each having a yield of 292 A0 CAD Drawings to offer you one of the lowest cost per print in the industry
2- It comes with a 2 Year Parts warranty which includes the Printhead
The duty cycle of this A0 Plotter is quite high allowing you to print 2,000 – to 2,500 A0 Drawings per month while 1 full set ink will offer you a yield of 1,168 A0 CAD prints. Many of our clients who are only looking for an A1 Printer tend to opt for the A0 Size Epson T5405 due to its very low cost per print and the 2 year standard warranty. It is a favorite among many of the leading contracting and engineering consultant companies in the UAE.
Our Flagship A0 Plotter is undoubtedly the Epson SureColor SC-T5700D. This machine has an impressive print speed of 2m / min which rivals that of the laser models. It comes with 4GB RAM, 1TB SSD, built in PostScript 3 and Dual Paper rolls just like you can see in the picture below. The duty cycle for this model is from 200 to 5,000 A0 CAD drawings per month and thus it is able to handle enormous workloads. The T5700D also uses 350ml ink cartridges for a very low cost per print with 1 full set ink offering 1,752 A0 CAD prints.
Being a 6 color A0 Plotter, it is ideal for printing CAD Drawings, Photos, Posters as well as full color 3D rendered images and graphics. In terms of media, you can print on a wide variety of choices such as photo glossy, matte, luster and even canvas at a high resolution 2,400 x 1,200 dpi. This A0 printer can handle 80gsm and up to 250gsm paper rolls. However if you intend to print or much thicker 800gsm posterboard or other media up to 1.5mm thick; we recommend using the manual paper feed.
Note: When trying special media on the Epson SC-T5700D it is important to make sure that any media you use is compatible with a “Pigment Inkjet Printer”. Please do not use media intended for Solvent ink or UV machines as this might damage your printer.
