The Dye Sublimation Printer models from Epson are ideal for creating custom made T-Shirts, bags, baseball caps, cushions, dresses, upholstery as well as promotional goods and gift items such as mugs, phone covers and photo frames.
The Printing Process simply consists of:
Printing your design on special transfer paper / sublimation paper
Using a heat press to transfer the ink to your garment / promotional item
The special dye sublimation inks will directly change from a solid to a gaseous state when heat is applied thus allowing the ink to be infused into the fabric. As the ink is permanently bonded to your fabric you will have high quality images which are long lasting and fully washable.
The entry level Epson SureColor SC-F100 and SC-F500 are 4 colour machines, have print resolutions of up to 1,200 x 2,400dpi and use Original Ink Refill Bottles (140ml per color) to offer you a very low cost per print. While the SC-F100 can print on A4 size paper, the SC-F500 can print on A1 size paper or paper up to up to 24″ wide. Another dye sublimation printer model, the Epson SC-F500H is also a 24″ model which has the option to use Fluorescent Pink and Fluorescent Yellow inks for a wider colour gamut.

Kindly note that sublimation printing is most suitable for polyester based fabrics and polyester coated objects. In the case of cotton fabrics, Epson have a range of direct to garment printers which are much better designed for printing on cotton.

Lastly, it is important to point out that Epson Dye Sublimation printer models have the Oeko-Tex Eco Passport certification, meaning that textiles produced on the printers using UltraChrome DS inks are completely safe to wear for adults and children, including babies.

FAQ's About Our Sublimation Printing Machine Models
A dye sublimation printer uses special sublimation ink to print a design onto transfer paper. The design is then applied to a suitable material using heat and pressure, allowing the ink to bond with the surface.
The printer first prints the image onto sublimation paper. A heat press is then used to transfer the design onto polyester fabric or a coated item. During the process, the dye turns into gas and bonds with the material, creating a long-lasting print.
Dye sublimation printers are commonly used for custom T-shirts, sportswear, mugs, tumblers, phone covers, mouse pads, bags, gifts, signage, and promotional items.
Standard sublimation printing works best on polyester or polymer-coated materials. It does not work properly on normal cotton unless special coatings or alternative transfer methods are used.
Sublimation printing is best for white or light-coloured materials. Since sublimation ink is transparent, it usually does not show properly on dark fabrics.
Most standard sublimation printers do not print white ink. White areas in the design normally come from the white background of the fabric or coated item.
Yes. Sublimation prints are very durable because the ink bonds with the material instead of sitting on top of it. On suitable polyester fabric, the print can resist peeling, cracking, and normal washing.
