It is true that many documents for day to day work can be scanned using the office Multifunctional printers or photocopiers. However, for high volume scanning and archiving purposes it’s important to note that those photocopier machines, and regardless of brand will never give you the same colour quality and file compression ratio as a dedicated scanner.

These high-volume document scanners are small, compact and have duty cycles starting from 4,000 pages/day and reach up to 9,000 pages/day. With an optical scan resolution of 600 x 600 dpi the Epson scanner can also be used as a photo scanner for archiving and indexing all your photos.

A flatbed scanner scans a single sheet of paper at a time and has a flat glass plate on which you place the A3 or A4 document.  This is useful for delicate documents and for high resolution scans. The flatbed scanner however will require the user to be present for every single scan. A sheetfed scanner on the other hand uses an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) which automatically picks up stacks of documents one after the other. The advantage of the sheetfed scanner is speed and it requires much less user intervention.

The automatic document feeder scanner or sheetfed scanner has an ADF capacity of 50 sheets for the entry model and reaches 200 sheets for the higher end models. Another nice feature of the Epson document scanner is the batch scan option which allows you to scan up to several thousand pages and save all of those documents as a single file.

Just like we have done with the office printers, we can also offer you an optional multiyear warranty for certain Scanner models. If you are interested in our document scanners for sale offers, please Contact Us and we will be happy to assist you.
