60 Inch Scanner

The Rowe Scan 450i – 36 Inch is a high end A0 scanner with CIS scanning technology (Contact Image Sensor). This allows for high quality scans at an optical resolution of 2,400 x 1,200 dpi and a maximum resolution of 9,600 x 9,600 dpi. An advantage with Rowe over other brands is that you can scan documents up to 2mm thick without any additional accessories. Additionally if you choose the extra height adjustment option you will be able to scan media up to 3cm / 30mm thick. There is also no limit to the scan length. You are able to scan a document or media 100 meters long and more with any issues. The only limitation will be the size of the hard drive used to store the scanned file. Below is what the A0 Scanner will look like with all the options and accessories added.

A0 Scanner

With the Rowe Scan 450i – 36 Inch, Scan Speed is 11.15 inches per second for B&W and 1.8 inches per second for color. Color depth is 48 bit which offers you outstanding scan quality along with accurate color matching for reprinting of scanned documents. Rowe scanners also have the patented Rowe Safeguard Technology to allow scanning of old, torn and fragile documents in a safe way.  The special “safeguard” setting used, when combined with a straight paper path as well as the slower scanning speed will eliminate wear and tear. These are only some of the features which allow the Rowe Scan 450i outperform other competitors. However this comes at a price since a high end machine which is made in Germany isn’t very cheap. In summary, as an A0 scanner the Rowe Scan 450i – 36 inch stands out as a premium quality product able to handle heavy workloads – This is especially useful for applications involving archiving of large quantities of documents.

For our clients who are only looking for an A1 Scanner or 24 Inch scanner we have a different model which is the Rowe Scan 450i – 24 Inch. As a lower end model, we generally offer this machine without any additional accessories or software. In its basic configuration the Rowe Scan 450i – 24 Inch measures: 89.6 x 33.2 x 12.6cm (W x D x H) and weighs only 13Kg. Thus it is compact enough to be placed on a table. In terms of specifications, it has the same scan resolution of 2,400 x 1,200 dpi (Optical) as well as a scan speed of 11.18 Inches / sec Black and White and 1.8 Inches / sec Color. Basically it is the same machine as the Scan 450i – 36 Inch but with a smaller width.

Below is the Rowe Scan 850i – 60 Inch scanner which I must say is a flagship model for the German brand Rowe. With this machine you are able to scan documents and media up to 60 inches or up to 1.6 meters wide. As with all the high end Rowe scanners, scan resolution is 1,200 x 2,400 dpi (optical) with an enhanced resolution of 9,600 dpi. In the basic configuration this 60 Inch scanner offers a scan speed is 23 meters per minute in Black and White and 12 meters per minute in color. With the additional Kit 80 software upgrade, color scan speed can be increased to 23 meters per minute. The scan accuracy is also impressive with a tolerance of a mere +/- 1 pixel or 0.1%

Not every client requires such high scanning resolutions and advanced features and many simply want a cheaper scanner for smaller workloads and for submittal of construction site drawings. In this case we would recommend an A0 multifunctional plotter or an A0 plotter with scanner. We have several models in this category, all of which tend to be more cost effective as well as allowing for printing, copying and scanning functionality. So instead of spending money on purchasing an A0 scanner and then on a separate A0 printer you can purchase one multifunction machine which will do everything for you.
